I had a ball in Washington DC this weekend. I had a chance to witness The Millions More Movement. If I had to bet on it, there were more than 1 million people on the mall. Chicago House Radio got something tangible from the march. Me and John Muhammd passed out flyers letting people know about CHR and this great music we represent. There were a whole lot of people excited about the station and said that they will be tuning in immediately. Now thats House!
Later that evening we went to Club Five for some of that good House music. The party was hosted by 3 Degrees Global. The music was bangin'. DJ Big Sexy (that's his dee jay name) was on the box playing hot soulful House. Later Andy Caldwell, oo7 & Freddie took the crowd through the night. On the rooftorp was some hip hop mixed up by DJ E.Z. Rock. You remember him right? "It takes two to make a thing go right"... with his partner Rob Base? There you have it.
Mona Dee was a great hostess and to me and John Muhammad. She made us feel right at home. Big ups to the eastcoast for showing a brotha some love. I missed the party in Baltimore on Friday with DJ Pope, but I was ther in spirit.

yeah! It was a wonderful experience and Min. Farrakhan laid it out! we have some work to do brothers and sisters. I would also have to say that it was more than one million people there as you could only see a sea of people from the capitol stairs to the obelisk with gaps only in the streets. The pictures that are shown in the media are the ones from early in the morning when people were still coming in or early in the afternoon. Me and Lloyd Dev really enjoyed ourselves as it was Lloyd's earth-day(or birthday if you will)@ club five in DC.The sound system in that place was on point and the difference in the parties that I see in Washington DC and Chicago is that the people that love the music will dance to good music all night and not wait for their favorite DJ to get on the tables. Anyway it was all good looking forward to the next trip as this was definitely needed peace!!!
