Just checking in... I used to spin on WNUR back in the early 80's on Street Beat with DJ E.Z Lee when I was an undergraduate student at Northwestern in Evanston. We had a good run in the 80s along with CRX and KKC. Lloyd Dev has done a nice job with this web site.

Sup T. Chablis! I remember your show on WNUR back in the day. I used to listen all of the time, like in 1985, 1986 or so. It's good to hear from you and know that you are still around. College radio in Chicago has done so much for this industry. Alot of songs were broken in by the college radio dee jays. Thanks for the support bro!

Life has moved on and God is good - lately I have been catching up with some of my old Chi-town house DJ buddies, like V-Dub and Chip E. Caught up with K. Joy ('Like This' fame) and she is singing house music again, releasing singles online. Anyway, it's good to hear some old names and know all is well. Hit me back, peace...

I still have some of your mix tapes. I remember you too, Sweet. I had a couple roomates from Evanston while I was going to NIU a la early 80's. We couldn't pick up NUR out in DeKalb, so my boyz would go home on the weekends and roll tape on NUR. Damn, we'd live off those things! Like honey to a bee, you're love will stick to me! Like grapes into wine, oooh, your love is right on time! Wish I still had my Reeboks and white Vuarnet Cat Eyes. They're back in style now.

Wow, the infamous underground radio dynamic duo from the early eighties. I thought I was the only one who remembered. It's great to hear your still around. Under The Gun, Brainwash, Music's Got Me, all cuts you did proper justice back in the day. Your even in my hero on my myspace page, check it out myspace.com/housedjgeo. You are a true part of Chicago House history. Peace!!!

Lenoiz, Just checked out your MySpace page. Very nicely done and thanks for remembering EZ Lee and T. Chablis. It was a fun run for us back in the 80's, now you, Lloyd Dev and so many others have taken it to the next level. I'm glad that I was able to do my thing way back when. Peace back at ya.....

Tempo 119 (nice bpm by the way), so you remember Tina B's Honey to a Bee track I see. I would mix that cut and almost anything else produced by Arthur Baker and John Robie because their sound was so innovative for the 80's. Glad to hear that you were out there listening and that you are among those that still remember the early days of Street Beat. Ask the guys mixing on NUR today and they'll say T. Cha-who?? Never heard of him...

Sweet MD, my WNUR compadre in radio house music mania.....been a long time since we've shared the airwaves together. Glad to hear that God is blessing you, same here. Man...you and Carmen, Vinny Divine, DJ Larry (hear he's a doctor now), and the man, the myth, the legend EZ-Lee, now THAT was a radio dj lineup!! Don't be a stranger, would love to get back in touch with everybody including K-Joy. Peace!!
